Preparing the AGRIS input data according to the AGRIS procedure/format by analysing and processing the main agricultural documents originating (published) in Romania (articles, books, conferences, etc.) concerning AGRIS subject fields.

 Disseminating in Romania information obtained from the FAO's information services, as a national participating centre in the AGRIS/CARIS network:

• Selection of sub-domain profiles of data and data conversion from receiving formats (WinSPIRS, HEURISKO, etc.) into the CDS/ISIS format in order to be imported into a user's CDS/ISIS database, which can be managed on a local common PC; Selected data are delivered on diskettes or using Internet facilities;
• Design and implement user-defined CDS/ISIS database, upon user requests, in order to manage the selected data.

 Retrieving thematic data, upon user request bases, from different databases existing in Internet and from other information sources in the domains of agriculture, food, fisheries, forestry and environment, including the databases of the centre - e.g. databases of soil/land characteristics, soil/environment quality monitoring, etc. (see ICPA Web).

 Building user databases, on user request, concerning different user purposes.

 Providing or designing, on user request, other different information tools to be installed into user's local personal computers (e.g. specialised databases, expert systems, decision support systems, geographical information systems, etc.) concerning different user purposes.
